PALMYRA THUNDER 1000′

The Committee of Palmyra Drag Racing club welcome all racers to the inaugural Palmyra Thunder 1000, this will be round one of the 400 Thunder Championship Drag Racing Series for the 2021/2022 season.

It has been a few years since we have held an Australian Championship round at our facility and we are looking forward to having racers visit our venue from all over the state and hopefully the country!

Enter Online ONLY – IHRA Licence holders or pre approved Event licence only, no Day licences issued (Real Street Exception – see below)

Spectator/Crew Tickets – Available 04-10-2021 – Crew purchase tickets, once in venue and Indemnity forms are signed crew armbands will be issued, there is no limit on crew on site. Camping is FREE to all racers and crew, If you are planning on coming up before the event or wish to stay longer please just get in touch with the PDRC crew at web@palmyradragway.com.au

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES!

  1. All persons must stop at the gate on arrival, so our officials can give you your racers pack if racing.
  2. Discounted RACER entries will be available online only. racer entry’s will be available at the gate however they will incur a late fee!!
  3. Children 15 and under are admitted free and all children must abide by all social distancing rules and regulations the same as all other personnel.
  4. ONLINE ENTRYS, WILL CLOSE Wednesday before the event at 5.00pm.
  5. Competitors/crew must maintain a minimum of 1.5 meter distance from another competitors/crew throughout the facility including the staging lanes. Number of crew in each pit area is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure social distancing guidelines current at the time of the event are followed.
  6. Competitors/Crew are to remain with vehicle in staging lanes and maintain social distancing.
  7. Abuse of officials and volunteers will not be tolerated.
  8. Tickets will not be credited for any reason unless Palmyra Drag Racing club cancels the event or the entrant has advised Palmyra Drag racing club via email: web@palmyradragway.com.au before the event has started, monies will be refunded minus a $5.00 administration fee.
  9. Entry to the facility is as per the schedule when the venue entrant gates is manned.
  10. Camping onsite is for entrants and crew only, social distancing requirements must be maintained, this is the responsibility of the entrant in his/her own pit areas.
  11. NO BYO & NO ALCOHOL IN PIT AREA!  If you are found with open tin of alcohol in the pit area during the event your armband will be removed and you will be asked to leave the facility.
  12. All participants including crew and PDRC Volunteers must practice personal hygiene and social distancing practices.
  13.  If you have been overseas or a listed Hot Spot in the last 14 days or you have been in close contact with someone who already has the virus please stay at home!
  14. If you are feeling unwell please stay at home, as above if you advise us that you have a medical reason for not attending we will reimburse any monies paid.

DRAG THE FARMERS OUT OF DROUGHT! 26th June 2021

2 Envious Car Club has teamed up with  Mackay Lions host club to host a charity event ” Drag the Farmers Out of Drought”
This will be a family friendly charity event with local car club displays, local business displays, raffle prizes and much more.

We will have prizes and trophies for the show n shine, dyno and drags. Who knows you may even get to race one of our admins down the strip!

Cost  for the cruise will be a $ note donation.
This will include free gate entry at the dragway.

If you wish to meet us at the dragway you will be charged $20 gate entry, unless you have gotten online and pre entered to race!.

Entry for the show n shine will be $10

All money raised goes to the lions club and 100% of donations will be distributed to our local farmers doing it hard.

General Information:

  • Everyone will be required to check in via QR code at the gate.
  • The racing format will be three round Chicago Shootout. Then a final.
  • Seeding will be done on best reaction time in Rd 1 of qualifiying.

  • Camping is available on site for racers and crew only
  • BBQ For racers and crew at Trophy presentation Saturday night.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES!

All persons must stop at the gate on arrival, so our officials can check you in and confirm you have checked in via the QLD Checkin app. 3 day pass holders will be issued with an Armband at the gate, this armband is to stay on for the entire weekend, if you are found on site with out an arm band you will be asked to leave, if your band breaks, please bring the broken one to an official for verification and we will resissue.
  2. Online Ticket sales will close Thursday at 5.00pm prior to the event. Individual day tickets only will be sold at the gate
  3. Number of crew in each pit area is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure social distancing guidelines current at the time of the event are followed
  4. To limit numbers in spectators areas Competitors/crew are asked to please return to your pit area once your run/pass has been completed.
  5. Abuse of officials and volunteers will not be tolerated.
  6. Entries will be available on a first in basis. Once our limit is met, we will not accept any more entries. If at the close of entries, we do not have enough to make the class/event viable we will cancel it and refund the entries received for that date only.
  7. If a class does not receive the minimum amount of numbers it may not be run or maybe combined with another class.
  8. Tickets will not be credited for any reason unless Palmyra Drag Racing club cancels the event or the entrant has a valid medical reason and Palmyra Drag racing club are notified via email: web@palmyradragway.com.au
  9. Entry to the facility is as per the schedule when the venue entrant gates is manned.
  10. Camping onsite is for entrants and crew only, social distancing requirements must be maintained, this is the responsibility of the entrant in his/her own pit areas.
